Bavarian Chips Alliance

The Bavarian Chips Alliance is part of the Bavarian Semiconductor Initiative of the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy. In addition to initiating collaborations between experts along the value chains for semiconductors, electronics and application industries, our main objectives also include promoting the transfer of innovation from science to industry and supporting cross-sector knowledge transfer.
Our network of experts addresses key issues affecting the entire semiconductor value chain, such as improving the resilience of supply chains, securing qualified academic and non-academic workers, and developing solutions to improve sustainability in the electronics and semiconductor industry. Our technical focus is on chip design, photonics, artificial intelligence and future computing technologies.
The Bavarian Chips Alliance at Bayern Innovativ is already an integral part of Bavaria's cluster and network ecosystem. As a member of the Silicon Europe Alliance, we will expand the creation of synergies and strengthen innovation potential at national and international level. In doing so, we are promoting the goal of establishing, developing and actively shaping a high-performance semiconductor ecosystem in Bavaria.
