SOLLTECH Project Results: Testing and Final Benefits

Successful Testing of SollTech's Advanced Humidity Control Devices: Ensuring Sustainability and Longevity for Mobile Homes and Glamping Sites

This project will be coordinated by A-STAR, from Slovenia as the technology owner and they will work in collaboration with PINESTA as the tourism operator in Croatia. The project is being monitored by MOBILE HEIGHTS.

SollTech recently completed a three-week testing period for its cutting-edge humidity control devices, achieving significant milestones and confirming the efficacy of their technology. The devices, designed to maintain optimal relative air humidity, were tested under various conditions and successfully self-maintained a humidity level of 60% ± 10%. This consistent performance ensures the protection of sensitive infrastructure, such as mobile homes and glamping tents, from humidity-related damage.

Key Achievements

  1. Precise Humidity Control:

Throughout the three-week testing phase, SollTech’s devices demonstrated the capability to autonomously regulate and maintain a stable relative air humidity level of 60% ± 10%. This performance is crucial for preserving materials such as textiles, wood, and plastics, thereby extending the lifespan of structures in mobile homes and glamping accommodations.

  1. Advanced Remote Monitoring:

The devices were equipped with enhanced remote monitoring features, allowing real-time observation of operational metrics, including air humidity, temperature, and operational time. Data was seamlessly transmitted to the cloud, enabling continuous monitoring and timely adjustments when necessary.

  1. Development of a New Motherboard:

A significant advancement in this project was the development of a new motherboard, which integrates additional sensors and functionalities. The updated hardware now supports Wi-Fi connectivity, temperature and humidity monitoring and reporting, operational hours tracking, and air pressure sensors. These enhancements provide users with comprehensive environmental data, ensuring optimal device performance and longevity.

Results and Performance

The testing confirmed that SollTech’s devices not only maintained the desired humidity levels within the specified tolerance limits but also reliably transmitted operational data to the cloud system. All key performance indicators (KPIs) and project milestones were met, demonstrating the devices’ robust design and reliable operation under real-world conditions.

Project Benefits

The successful testing and deployment of SollTech’s devices offer numerous benefits, particularly for the mobile housing and glamping industries:

  1. Simple Installation:

The devices are designed for easy installation, requiring only an internet connection. This user-friendly setup ensures quick deployment and minimal disruption to existing operations.

  1. Infrastructure Protection:

By maintaining optimal humidity levels, the devices protect against moisture-related damage, significantly extending the life of materials used in mobile homes and glamping tents. This protection reduces the need for frequent repairs or replacements, ultimately lowering maintenance costs.

  1. Waste Reduction:

The increased durability of materials leads to a decrease in waste generation, aligning with sustainability goals by reducing the overall environmental impact of these industries.

  1. Lowered CO2 Footprint:

By extending the life of infrastructure and reducing waste, SollTech’s devices contribute to a lower carbon footprint in the tourism sector. This aligns with broader industry efforts to minimize environmental impacts and promote eco-friendly practices.

  1. Healthier Environment:

The devices also reduce the need for harmful chemicals typically used to combat mold and mildew caused by high humidity. This creates a healthier environment for guests and staff, enhancing the overall appeal of eco-conscious tourism options.

Conclusion

SollTech’s humidity control devices have proven their effectiveness in real-world testing, offering a reliable solution for maintaining optimal environmental conditions in mobile homes and glamping sites. The successful integration of new technologies and sensors further enhances the functionality of these devices, providing users with critical data to protect their investments and promote sustainability in the tourism industry. As the industry continues to prioritize eco-friendly and durable solutions, SollTech’s devices are poised to play a key role in supporting these goals.
