Silicon Eurocluster Launches Call for Green Consultancy Services to Propel SMEs' Sustainable Transformation in the Electronics Sector

The Silicon Eurocluster project, funded by the European Commission, announces the opening of the Call for Expressions of Interest, seeking highly skilled and experienced green consultancy service providers to support the sustainable transformation of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) operating in the electronics sector. The initiative aims to foster a greener and more sustainable economy, emphasizing the pivotal role of SMEs in achieving European self-sufficiency.

The entities that apply to become one of the green experts will appear in the catalogue developed by the project and the Silicon Europe Alliance website gaining visibility as green service providers for the electronics sector and they will be eligible as providers in the future call that will award green vouchers of €3600 each to 25 SMEs for contracting external consultancy services, facilitating their green transformation. This call will open in February of 2024.

The project is looking for green consultancy service providers with expertise in areas such as Radio Communications, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, Energy Harvesting, Photonics, or Sensors, who are invited to register in Silicon Eurocluster's green catalogue of service providers. Silicon Eurocluster consortium will validate the eligibility of service providers for inclusion in the green catalogue.

Through these green consultancy services, SMEs will undertake substantial actions to transition their operations towards environmental sustainability, reducing ecological footprints and embracing green and circular processes.

Green experts should have skills and experience in at least one of the following areas:

  • Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy
  • Waste Management and Recycling
  • Supply Chain Sustainability
  • Product Design and Life Cycle Analysis
  • Environmental Compliance
  • Circular Economy Practices
  • Sustainable Packaging
  • Green Certifications
  • Carbon Footprint Reduction
  • Green Transition Training
  • Water Management

 

Eligibility Conditions

Applications will be eligible if the following conditions are met:

  • Legal entity domicile in eligible countries.
  • Ability to provide services in English.
  • Professionals with at least 3 years of experience in the specified areas.
  • No conflict of interest with Silicon Eurocluster consortium partners.
  • Submit the application before the deadline.
