Silicon Europe Worldwide participated in European Innovation Week Taipei

The European Innovation Week in Taiwan took place from the 30th of May until the 3rd of June. Nearly 100 people representing European organisations as well as companies were registered for the event. Additionally, more than 400 people representing the Taiwanese side had registered clearly indicating the interest in collaboration with Europe.

Next to seminars on Smart Industry, Smart Healthcare, Smart Mobility, 5G and nanoelectronics, also Horizon 2020 was a central topic of the week. In addition to these seminars, business to business (B2B), business to cluster (B2C) and cluster to cluster (C2C) matchmaking meetings were organised between the European and Taiwanese organisations.

Silicon Europe Worldwide was present with all of its cluster partners including Corallia, DSP Valley, High Tech NL, Distretto Fondazione Green and High Tech of Monza Brianza, Minalogic and Silicon Saxony. The project team succeeded to become recognised as a strong representative of the European micro- and nanoelectronics industry by Taiwanese counterparts.

The European Innovation Week was a joint initiative of Silicon Europe Worldwide in collaboration with the European Commission, the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, the European Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (ECCT), EEN Taiwan (coordinated by TAITRA), GNSS.asia, the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT), the Department of Industrial Technology (DOIT) of Taiwan and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI).
